Every follower of Christ is called to servant leadership. In broad strokes and insightful detail, Paul teaches emerging and existing leaders the basics of our identity in Jesus, that we might lead from love rather than our own needs and agenda.
In today’s world, including Christian culture, it’s so easy to invert the importance of doing over being. We wrongly define ourselves by our skill set, education, and giftedness above character. If we are to truly fulfill God’s unique plan for our lives and avoid an identity crisis, then we have to examine our beliefs in light of Scripture and adjust our thoughts and actions accordingly.
